
April is already here and The Doral Yard is spending the month soaking up this beautiful weather with happenings for the whole family. Check out just a few of the events we have coming up this month below and you can visit our events page for the full line up.
Special Events
Soul Brunch – Soul Brunch returns on Sun., 4/10. Spend an afternoon jamming to live music by Yoli Mayor, who just appeared on American Idol. Get down to the tunes and savor curated eats by The Yard’s culinary vendors like a Fried Breakfast Egg Roll, Chicken & Waffles, Dulce de Leche Maple Bacon Churros, and more. There will also be an optional add-on unlimited mimosas package. Admission to the performance is free but tickets guarantee reserved seating, all food items, and a special handmade gift from Yoli Mayor herself.
Afro Roots Fest ft. Cortadito & Friends – Afro Roots Fest, in collaboration with Community Arts & Culture, returns to the Doral Yard on Fri., 4/22. This year’s event will feature performances by Cortadito, Jude Papaloko, Panafrik, ITAWE, and DJ Kumi. The show is free and open to all ages.
Color Rush Paint & Sip – Explore you creative side at Queen Events’ Paint & Sip on Tue., 4/26 at 6 p.m. Open for all ages, come enjoy a night of painting and enjoy Happy Hour at the The Bar at The Yard until 7 p.m.
Crafts & Cocktails – Test your creative limits and learn how to make your own bath salts with Simplicity by Erika on Wed., 4/27, at 6:30 p.m. Drinks are not included, but you can add-on an optional welcome drink. Happy hour runs 4-7 p.m. and The Bar at The Yard will serve specially priced $8 margaritas from 7-10 p.m.
Kids Club – We’re excited to welcome Kids Club back to The Yard this month. Little artists are invited to nurture their creative expression with an enriching session guided by Little Creative Souls on Sat., 4/30, at 2:30 p.m. The event is open to children ages 3 to 9.

Live Music
Cuban Jazz & Funk ft. Otto Percussion – Percussionist, educator, and band leader, Otto Santana Selis, shares the wonderful sound of jazz music with The Yard on Thur., 4/7, at 5 p.m.
Noches en La Habana ft. Leslie Cartaya – Slip away into a night of music under the stars with local talent Leslie Cartaya at Noches en La Habana on Sat., 4/16 at 8 p.m.
Flamenco Pop Fusion ft. Bita – Head to The Yard for an evening of flamenco with Andalusian singer-songwriter, Bita on Thur., 4/21, at 7 p.m.
Funk Fusion ft. Lemon City Trio – Lemon City Trio brings their love of soul music and New Orleans Funk to the stage on Thur., 4/28, at 7 p.m.

Food & Drink
Barbakoa by Finka – Barbakoa by Finka opened its brand new takeout window. Open Friday night and all day Saturday and Sunday, it’s now even easier to get your hands on the delicious Latin-Asian fusion menu. And during the week, the BarbaKantina Executive Lunch is a can’t-miss. For only $28, dive into your choice of appetizer, entree, and beer or wine from a select menu available Tuesday – Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. You can see the full menu here and reservations can be made here.
Cocktail of the Month – The April $10 cocktail of the month is “Skinny Whale.” The cocktail, which can be found at The Bar at The Yard, features Gray Whale Gin, fresh watermelon juice, and lime.
Paletas Morelia – Morelia Gourmet Paletas has launched three new vegan flavors: Chocolate Hazelnut Cookies & Cream, Hazelnut, and Coconut. All flavors are now available at The Yard location.

Wellness
Kids Yoga – Led by a certified children’s yoga instructor, Paola Gonzalez, Kids Yoga takes place on Sat., 4/9, at 11 a.m. Children and their parents are welcome to enjoy a morning of movement.
Hatha Yoga with Dunia – On Sun., 4/3 and 4/17 at 10 a.m., get into flow with a yoga class right in The Backyard with an emphasis on enhancing awareness, alignment and acceptance.
Vinyasa Flow with Gin Yogi – To get your week started on the right foot, join Gin Yogi for a Vinyasa flow on Sun., 4/24, at 10 a.m.
Power Hour – Certified Strength Coach, Geo Valdez, hosts a high-energy training session for all fitness levels on Sat., 4/30 at 11 a.m. Ten percent of the proceeds from the class are donated to Miami Rescue Mission.
